The draft is done, the teams are locked, and we’re ready for a brand new season! The Tinpot Trophy begins life on its new home platform of ESPN, updated and revitalized as the prestigious competition heads into its tenth year.

Let’s take a look at the rundown of the upcoming fixtures:

Kittle Big Town vs. Gingerbread Men

A tough matchup for GM to kick off a new season, as they are 3-7 overall against the consistent KBT, who have a 60% success rate for making the playoffs. GM’s 2025 lineup is spearheaded by Jayden Daniels at QB, Justin Jefferson at WR, and the highly touted rookie RB, Ashton Jeanty. Meanwhile, KBT has gone for the impressive one-two punch of James Cook and Jahmyr Gibbs at RB, with Brock Bowers at TE, who had an outstanding debut season. On paper, this is a tough match to call.

Upstate Usurpers vs. Milroe’s Place (The Audi-Bowl)

The first Bowl of the season sees last year’s runner-up, UU, going up against his friend and narrator’s MP. An impressive sophomore outing for UU, and an equally impressive debut season for MP, this match already has an exciting, albeit short, history behind it. While MP relied on the autopick in this year’s draft, their lineup looks solid – Jared Goff at QB, CeeDee Lamb at WR, and Jonathon Taylor at RB. They will be facing off against another solid team for UU this year – Jalen Hurts at QB, Kyren Williams at RB, and Puka Nacua at WR. Another match that could go either way.

Cool Runnings vs. Withy Niners (The 4th Street Deli Bowl)

The second Bowl sees last year’s 3rd place team, WN, go head-to-head with the historically plucky CR. Despite an 0-4 record in this matchup, CR has a solid team – the second example of autopicks this season. With a great RB duo in Derrick Henry and Bijan Robinson, and a reliable WR in Drake London, this could very well be the day they turn the tides in the 4th Street Deli Bowl. But looking to maintain the status quo is WN, whose lineup relies heavily on Josh Allen at QB… holder of last season’s highest individual scoring performance. Will the man from Buffalo be enough to fend off the hungry CR?

49ers But Better vs. The Shanahanigans

Brothers clash in this original and historically epic encounter, in which 49BB have the advantage 13-5. After a disappointing 2024 season, 49BB are looking to rebound with their first overall pick, Ja’Marr Chase at WR leading the charge. But looking to de-rail that express is TS, who has the ultimate counter in Joe Burrow at QB, alongside last season’s Fantasy MVP, Saquon Barkley at RB. Statistics favor TS here, but they haven’t won their opening game of the season since 2020… will history repeat itself this week?

The Pasty Barm Wolfers vs. Tua Be Or Not Tua Be

The champ is back! TPBW won their record-breaking THIRD Tinpot Trophy last season, and they will be looking to continuing their winning ways in 2025, despite having last pick in the draft. An historically even contest, TPBW will be hoping they drafted the 2023 Christian McCaffrey, not the 2024 Christian McCaffrey, for their RB1 slot. Meanwhile TBONTB will be relying on Lamar Jackson at QB and old faithful, Travis Kelce at TE to lead them to repeat their championship-winning performance of 2023.

Season 10 of the Tinpot Trophy is kicking off with five exciting matches. Roll on Redzone!
